Frances C. Bissing, 96, of Kansas City, MO passed July 15, 2008 after a long life.

Born, January 5, 1912 in Kansas City, Missouri, she lived her life as a selfless, kind, and loving lady. Frances was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Haas, mother, Pearl Haas, husband, Leopold H. Bissing, her brother, Joe Haas and son-in-law, David G. Smith. 

She is survived by her children, Jeannie Johnson (Sherman), Colette Bissing, Dorothy Mask (Dale), Ronald Bissing (Marilyn), Kathleen Bissing, and Susan Smith (dec. David); grandchildren, Stephen Rogers (Theresa), Kari Moberg, Tricia Fickel (John), Cassandra Rogers, Tara Altizer (Paul), Dennis M. O’Neal, Ashley Bissing, and Ariel Bissing; 4 great grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Katherine Haas. 

The family thanks those who made her life special and peaceful at the end. We don’t know what we would have done without the amazing care given by our sister, Colette. Mother and Grandma, how we will miss your smile, your sense of humor, and your ever-giving spirit. May God rest your soul. We will love you forever.

Her life will be celebrated in a Mass of Christian Burial Monday July 21, at 11 a.m. at The Nativity of Mary Catholic Church, Independence. A burial will follow at Mount Washington Cemetery.
