Gertrude Virginia (Beal) Anderson, 89, of Independence, Mo., passed away Thursday, May 8, 2008, at St. Mary’s Medical Center.
Gertrude was born March 10, 1919, in St. Joseph, Mo., to Claude Everett and Caroline Jeanette (Dempsey) Beal. She was a faithful and active member of the RLDS church. She owned and operated Beal Printing with her father in Kansas City, before retiring at the age of 68. Gertrude loved her family dearly and was very proud of their accomplishments in life. She lived at Heritage House for the past three years, where she formed many new friendships. She was preceded in death by her husband Clyde R. Anderson in 2005.
Gertrude is survived by her daughter Dr. Jo Ann Lierman and husband Ernest; step-children Charles C. Anderson and wife Donna, Dennis I. Anderson and wife Hannah, Kathy Colvin; grandchildren Richard C. Lierman, Carrie A. Dwyer; and great-grandchildren Jessica, Joseph, Jacob, Tyler and Ryan.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 12, 2008, and services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 13, 2008, at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Burial will be in Mount Washington Forever Cemetery.
