John William Roberts, 62, of Independence, Mo., passed away Monday, Oct. 22, 2012.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
John was a playful kid with a sense of humor. He was well known for his infamous baked beans. He brought John Wayne into everyone’s life and was most known as “Mr. R.” John was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret and Ralph Henderson; and his twin brother, James Roberts.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Sherry Roberts; two daughters, also of 30 years, Kristy (Shawn) Anderson and Teri (Doug) Cook; four grandchildren whom he adored, Austin and MacKenzie Anderson and Cody and Alexis Cook; sister, Barbara (Scott) Hecht; and his faithful dog, Wally.
