Erma K. Tucker, 80, of Grain Valley, Mo., passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2009, at the Hidden Lake Care Center, Raytown, Mo. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 11, at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9:30-10:00 a.m. preceding the service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the American Heart Association, 6800 W. 93rd Street, Overland Park, KS 66212.
Erma was born on October 9, 1929, in North Platte, Neb., the daughter of William & Martha (Lehmann) Ohrdorf. She married George Tucker on September 3, 1950. They resided in Colorado Springs, Colo., for 55 years before George & Erma moved to Grain Valley 4 years ago. She owned a fine china & gift shop in Colorado Springs for many years. She was also her husband’s partner in his company, Gyro Products. Erma loved camping, fishing, and watching sports.
Erma was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and brother Carl Ohrdorf.
Her survivors include a daughter: Kathy Tucker; two sons: Ken Tucker & wife Marianne, and Kevin Tucker & wife Meg; and her six grandchildren.
