Theodore “Ted” L. Boyd

Ted Boyd, 48, Independence, Mo. passed away February 4, 2010, at Centerpoint Medical Center. 

Ted was an Independence resident for more than 35 years. Ted graduated from William Chrisman in 1979, and in 1993 from Park University. He was a deacon, and very active in his church, New Hope RLDS of Independence. Ted enjoyed writing, magic, and ventriloquism. 

He leaves behind his wife of 18 years, Kay, parents Theo and Donna Boyd and a sister Viki Boyd, all of Independence. Also surviving Ted are, a niece Jesse Gallagher and her husband Eric of Kansas City, Mo., a nephew Josh Stoll and his wife Jen of Blue Springs, Mo. and Ted’s Grandfather, L.R. Clark, of Oklahoma. 

A memorial service is planned for 7 PM, Thursday, February 11, 2010 at New Hope RLDS Church, (Community of Christ) 220 W. Moore Street, Independence, Mo. 64050. 

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to: The New Hope Needy Family Fund, and can be mailed to: The Mission Center, c/o Hew Hope, 500 W. Pacific, Independence, Mo. 64050.
