Martha E. Case, 81, of Grain Valley, Mo., passed away Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012, at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Blue Springs, Mo.

She was born to Henry and Madolen Turner on July 4, 1931, in Napoleon, Mo. Martha was united into marriage to James Marvin Case in 1951 in Independence, Mo. After graduating from Grain Valley High School in 1949, she worked in the family business, Structural Inspections. Martha loved playing cards and the outdoors, especially feeding and watching birds. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James; son, Jerry Allen Case; and sisters, Renee Turner and Francis Turner.

Martha is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Neal and Tracy Case of Grain Valley, Mo.; brother, Ren Turner; sister, Bertie Elliston; four grandchildren, Deborah, Michael, Jaclyn and Taylor; and six great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 7, at the Meyers Funeral Chapel, 1600 W. Main St., Blue Springs, MO 64015. Funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. following the visitation. Burial will be at Blue Springs Cemetery.

Memorial contributions are suggested to First Christian Church for Children and may be left in care of the funeral home. Memories and online condolences may be shared at www.meyersfuneralchapel.com.
