Sarah Ann Johnson, 84, Warsaw, Mo., formerly of Kansas City, Mo., passed away Sunday, Sept. 9, 2012, at Monterey Park.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12, followed by services at 2 p.m., at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Burial at Mount Washington Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Shriners Children’s Hospital.
Sarah was born April 26, 1927, in Kansas City, Mo., the daughter of Charles and Lillie Margaret (Howard) Wilson. She moved to California, living there for 21 years before returning to the Independence area. Sarah was enjoyed donating to the Sedalia Shrine Club for the Shriners Children’s Hospital. She loved to crochet and donated several quilts to nursing homes and churches. Sarah was preceded in death by her husband, Harlan A. Johnson, in June 2012; five brothers; and two sisters.
Survivors include her brother, Dan Wilson and wife, Ida; sister-in-law, Jean Wilson; five stepchildren; and additional family and friends.
