Floyd Marvin Miller, 77, Lake Tapawingo, Mo., passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2013.
Floyd was born March 21, 1935, in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada, the son of George and Olga (Sandry) Miller. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. Floyd retired from Bayer Industries as engineering purchasing manager in 1998. He served as city councilman for Lake Tapawingo and water safety instructor for the American Red Cross. Floyd was a former elder with the RLDS Church. He enjoyed tennis, woodworking, photography, gardening, and trout fishing.
Survivors include his wife, Pat, of 51 years; son, Kevin A. Miller and wife, Michelle; daughters, Lory E. Rodak and husband, Michael, and Nicole D. Lewis and husband, Toby; grandchildren, Ashley, Jessika, Sarah, Ian and Jacob; sisters, Audrey and husband, Dr. Wayne Custead, and Iris and husband, Bruce Logeman; and additional nieces, nephews, and family. Floyd was preceded in death by his parents.
A gathering to celebrate Floyd's life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Outreach International. Online condolences may be expressed at www.speakschapel.com.
