Ronald L. Caster, 71, of Gravois Mills, Mo., previously of Kansas City, Mo., passed away Feb. 3, 2012, at North Care Hospice.

Ronald was born Feb. 16, 1940, to Forrest A. and Helen (Hurr) Caster in Kansas City, Mo. He was united in marriage to Jeanne on Dec. 14, 1973. Ronald was a machinist and toolmaker at General Motors Fairfax Assembly Plant. He was a member of UAW, retiring in 2002. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends at the Lake of the Ozarks, boating, and his machine shop.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, and a granddaughter, Samantha Kristine Supplee. Ronald is survived by his wife, Jeanne of the home; son, Larry D. Caster of Leavenworth, Kan.; daughter, Gayle L. Caster of Kansas City, Kan.; sons, R. Allen Supplee and wife, Laurie, of Independence, Mo., Ted R. Supplee and wife, Tammy, of Blue Springs, Mo.; daughter, Kristy E. Bass and husband, Jeffry, of Blue Springs, Mo.; brothers, Robert E. Caster of Shawnee, Kan., Richard “Bud” Caster of Kansas City, Kan.; sister, Sharon Masuch of Kansas City, Kan.; 13 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. today, Feb. 7, at St. Mark’s Catholic Church, 3736 S. Lee’s Summit Road, Independence, Mo. Burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

Contributions in memory of Ronald may be made to American Cancer Society or North Care Hospice.
