Margaret “Maggie” Pernice, 62, Independence, Mo., passed away Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013, at Centerpoint Medical Center.

Memorial visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, 10113 E. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64053, where the Rosary will be prayed at 6 p.m. Graveside inurnment will be 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 22, at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to St. Ann’s Parish.

Maggie was born August 21, 1950, in Rushville, Ind. She was preceded in death by her father, Floyd Cox Jr., and her mother, Dorothy Alberta Caufield.

Maggie is survived by her husband, Philip Patrick Pernice; children, Brent Glover, Angela Glover, Paul Glover, Vincent Pernice and Tamara Pernice; grandchildren, Tyler, Taylor, Sky-Lynn, Hanna, Kayleigh and Aramas; sisters, Jeri Lynn Roser, Jackie Marshall and husband, Charles; brother, John Caufield and wife, Debbie; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Linda Pernice, Jack and Robin Pernice, Steve and Lori Pernice, Angel Pernice, Annette and Tom Silvio; and numerous other family members.

The family offers a special thank you to the medical staff of Centerpoint Medical Center and the staff of The Groves (Rosewood) for the care shown to Maggie.
