Victor J. Lamano, 85, Independence, Mo.,  passed away Nov. 5, 2009.  Entombment will take place at Mt. Olivet Mausoleum. Services will be private.
Victor was born May 4, 1924, in Kansas City, Mo.  He was a U.S. Army veteran of WW II. He was a butcher for Kroger Stores for 30 years and retired from Thirftway markets in 1979.
Victor was preceded in death by his wife Wilma Lamano and brother Joseph Lamanno. He is survived by son Larry Lamano and wife Albie, Willard, Mo.; daughters Carol Roe, Buckner, Mo.; Donna Lamano, Olathe, Kan.; sister Fran Cresswell, Independence, Mo.; grandchildren Jessica Lamano, Jason Lamano, Amanda Gearon and great-grandchildren Haylie and Hunter Gearon.
