James Junior McGonigle, 74, of Independence, Mo., passed away Sunday, June 17, 2012, at Centerpoint Medical Center.
James was born August 12, 1937, in Sugar Creek, Mo., the son of Joseph and Christine (Cates) McGonigle. Jim worked for KW Dart Company for 14 years prior to opening Jim’s Family Restaurant. He also enjoyed going to the casinos.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Wilma, of the home; seven children and their mother, Sue; also five stepchildren; and many grandchildren and extended family.
Memorial services will be 7 p.m., Thursday, June 21, at the Meyers Funeral Chapel, 1600 W. Main St., Blue Springs, Mo. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until service time.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to defray funeral expenses in care of Meyers Funeral Chapel.
