Roger Allen Gould, 50, of Independence, Mo., passed peacefully with the love of his family and friends surrounding him on June 18, 2009 at KU Medical Center from a courageous battle with cancer.

Roger was born in Kansas City, Mo., on December 4, 1958 to Ernest E. and Anna L. (McPherson) Gould, who preceded him in death. He is survived by his sister Rita and her husband William Ancency of Lakewood, CO and sister Linda Kelley and her companion Gary Burke of Olathe, KS; a nephew Chad Beatie of Blue Springs, Mo., and a great-nephew and great-niece Tyler and Kamrie Beatie of Lee’s Summit, Mo. Roger was a lifelong resident of Independence, Mo. He graduated from William Chrisman High School in 1977. During school Roger worked in an auto body shop he later became a business owner. Roger loved his work he loved all sports especially car racing. He owned and raced his own car. Roger will be loved and missed by all who knew him.
