Lee's Summit, MO —

Jonathan Todd Ferris, 26, of Lee’s Summit, Missouri died Sunday, November 1, 2001.
He was a 2001 graduate of Blue Springs High School and a Retail Communications Consultant at Lee’s Summit Sprint location.
Ferris played varsity sports at Blue Springs High School, competing in diving, swimming & soccer. He was midfielder on the 2001 Missouri All-Star Soccer Team against the Kansas All-Stars at Arrowhead Stadium. He also participated in premier soccer programs including Fort Osage Blue Midnight and the 1998 Olympic Training Development (OTD) program in Columbia, Missouri. In diving, Ferris represented Blue Springs High School in the 2000 Missouri State Diving Championships in St. Louis where he placed 16th.
He leaves behind his daughter, Gwen Stock, and fiancé Esther Wetzel of Lee’s Summit. Surviving members of his family include his parents, Murry & Jane Ferris of Lake of the Ozarks, his brother & sister-in-law, Chris & Katie Ferris of Lee’s Summit; and step-sister: Nicole Fay of Overland Park, Kansas.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Cynthia Sue Ferris.
Jon Ferris was a member of Blue Springs First Baptist Church, where visitation services will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, November 10th, final services from 7-8 p.m. Contributions may be made to his daughter, Gwen Stock’s education fund.
