Nelva A. Heim

Nelva A. Heim of Independence, Mo., passed away Monday, July 6, 2009 at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Blue Springs at the age of 86.

Funeral Services will be Wednesday, July 8, 2009, at 11 a.m. at the D.W. Newcomers Sons Noland Road Chapel, Independence, Mo. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at the Chapel. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Kansas City, Mo. Contributions in Nelva’s name can be made to John Poff Ministries in care of the funeral home.

Nelva was born March 21, 1923 in Boone County, Missouri. She has lived in Independence since 1955, and was a homemaker. Nelva was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Independence. She is preceded in death by her parents and Husband Arnold H. Heim and Son Samuel D. Heim.

Nelva is survived by a daughter Cynthia Davis and fiance Patrick Cummings of Independence, Mo., son Henry A. Heim and wife Karen of Olathe, KS; three grandsons, one great-grandson, and two sisters.
