Drivers are reminded to have their cars winterized and keep the battery, wipers, windshield washer fluid, lights, heater, defroster, antifreeze and tires in good working order.
It’s a good idea to carry a cell phone. Put a kit in the trunk with an ice scraper and shovel, jumper cables, flashlights with fresh batteries, sand or kitty litter for traction, extra blankets or clothing, non-perishible food, a good first aid kit, matches and candles and a tow rope or chain.
