To the editor:

Sheila Solon voted against increasing our 2010 residential property taxes. Unfortunately, the vote was a tie, the tie was broken and you’re paying higher municipal property taxes now. Sheila voted against additional sales tax rates on Adams Dairy Parkway. Unfortunately, the vote was a tie, the tie was broken and Blue Springs residents will be paying higher sales tax for shopping in Blue Springs.

Sheila Solon voted against housing complexes which increase crime and reduce neighboring property values. Sheila wants to reduce crime by unshackling our Blue Springs Police and letting them chase and arrest bad guys again.

Those weak on crime and high on taxes claim Sheila Solon is difficult to work with. Those who want fiscally conservative, accountable and responsible government should vote for Sheila Solon on Aug. 3.
