To the editor:
Senator McCaskill and Congressman Cleaver, with the national debt being our most pressing crisis and a national defense issue, why are you not serious about cutting annual spending to reduce our annual deficits? Each year we spend more than the next and borrow more to do it!
Your lack of leadership and irresponsibility are leading this country to bankruptcy and you don’t appear to care about the burden you are putting on our children and grandchildren! You seem more interested in serving the Democratic Party than the people you represent.
I’m very disappointed in your partisanship and lack of will to do what needs to be done to preserve the liberties and economic freedom of the citizens you serve. My hope is that your conscience will prick you into more responsible actions, but if not, may your family, your children and grandchildren be forced to endure the hardships that you are forcing upon all of us.
