Claire McCaskill brags in one of her current TV commercials that she is a 50 percenter – in other words, a moderate Democrat. Her voting record says otherwise. She voted for the failed “stimulus plan,” the ruinous pork-packed 2008 budget (with its 8,000 earmarks) and the horrendous Obamacare.
Her entire re-election strategy depends on reinventing herself as a moderate after rubber-stamping Barack Obama’s big-government agenda. When speaking to her constituents it is all moderate political talk. When she votes, she toes the Democratic Party line more than 85 percent of the time, which means massive waste and bigger government.
I don’t call that moderation.
