John W. Pennell’s eloquent tribute Nov. 12 (“Recognition for a city that works”) to the city and those who make it work, missed a singular accomplishment, covered by The Examiner staff on the first page of the same issue.
The Independence Police Department is going for the Guinness Book in the production of whitewash. The department fosters the supply, in large measure, by creating a overwhelming need.
