More of the same – and that’s just fine.
Blue Springs School District parents found out Monday that their district has again scored a perfect 14 out of 14 in its annual state accreditation review. The state looks as standardized scores, graduation rates, advanced placement courses and other factors.
That 14-of-14 rating brings the state’s Distinction in Performance Award. Last year’s winners in the area were Blue Springs, Independence, Grain Valley and Lee’s Summit. We should find out soon how other area districts have done this year.
For Blue Springs, this makes nine years in a row for a perfect score. That’s an amazing run. This is the product of no single program or area of focus, no single teacher or administrator. It’s an across-the-board effort, and praise for success goes to those throughout the district.
