To the editor:

I am a lifelong registered Democrat in his 80s. I know President Obama studied constitutional law. I know the 3,000-page Obamacare health-care Law was passed so Congress could read what was contained in it. Did you also know that a few days ago Congress again passed a two-month budget without reading it? Is this a new trend for our lawmakers to pass laws without reading what they passed? If so, why bother having a Congress?

CNN reported that as of Jan. 1, Hobby Lobby is being fined $1.3 million per day for not complying with Obamacare. Hobby Lobby (which is closed on Sundays to honor “The Lord’s Day”) objects to providing contraception coverage to its employees. Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor (an Obama appointee) denied Hobby Lobby an emergency appeal to the Supreme Court.

It is strange that just this week I read that in the northern and southern hemisphere, Cuba is the only country ruled by a dictatorial government.
