There’s been a lot of debate lately about voter ID. The NAACP, ACLU and Democrats say it will disenfranchise the elderly, minorities and the poor because they won’t be able to get a photo ID.
I went to Centerpoint recently for my annual mammogram. When I checked in I was asked for my insurance card and photo ID. I asked if I had to have a photo ID and the receptionist said yes. It made me sad to think of all the elderly, minority and poor women who have free preventative health care, but will never be able to have a mammogram because it is such an inconvenience and so hard for them to get a photo ID.
