Jeb Brunner of Independence didn’t have to go far to find this nearly 3-pound giant morel mushroom. Brunner found this one by the railroad tracks by The Examiner offices just south of the Independence Square. It measured 13 inches tall and 6 inches wide and weighed 2 pounds, 9 ounces.
