Pet lovers in Independence look alive, the city's fifth annual pet parade is set for Saturday.

Aloha, my friends! It is time once again for the semi-annual Adopt-A-Thon and cookout at the Independence PetsMart. From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. this Saturday, Animals Best Friends volunteers will be at PetsMart with Independence Animal Shelter dogs for adoption, and ABF dogs to meet potential adopters.
