And the Independence School District has announced the purchase of property in Sugar Creek for the new west Independence elementary school.

Cost to furnish the building (including technology and anything that is not a part of the construction process) – approximately $800,000 to $1 million
Number of staff (including teachers, nutrition, custodians, therapists, early education, administration, etc.) – 40 to 50
Length of time to complete – 16 to 20 months
