Scholastic honors: Member of the National Honor Society; 4.33 GPA; AP Scholar with Distinction and recipient of the University of Columbia Book Award.
High school and community activities: President of the Hope Society; People to People Student Ambassador and volunteer at Extempore.

1 To what do you attribute your academic success?
My competitive nature and my parents’ support.

2 Who was your biggest influence on your studies?
My chemistry teacher, Mr. Manuel, because he always held the bar high.

3 What college do you plan to attend and why?
Due to eighth semester release, I am a student at the University o Missouri-Columbia, studying biological sciences and Japanese.

4 What do you see yourself doing 10 years from now?
I plan on conducting research on plant genetics. This would include lab work along with trips to tropical rainforests to collect data.

5 What will you remember most about your high school years?
