Scholastic Honors: Co-Valedictorian; member of the Restoration Honor Society; received the United States Achievement Academy National Mathematics Award; named to the Principal’s Honor Roll throughout high school; received the Liahona Award, the Academic Achievement Award for maintaining a 4.0 GPA throughout high school, the Math and Physics Institute’s Top Five Award and the President’s Award for Educational Excellence; received the Center Place Business Association Scholarship, the Trustee Scholarship and Housing Academic Scholarship from Park University, the Golden Griffon from Missouri Western State University and the President’s Combined Ability Scholarship and President’s Honorary Scholarship from Truman State University.

High school and community activities: Deacon at the Living Hope Restoration Branch; CMRB Jr. High Camp Counselor in Training 2007; attended the RCI Leadership Camp 2007-08; was an Eagle Scout; participated in a Youth Bowling League; played basketball and soccer; was involved with marching, concert and pep band; was a member  of the concert choir, pop choir, FBLA and FCA; was a member of the Senior Class Council and participated in theater.

1 To what do you attribute your academic success?
I attribute my academic success to my family who was always willing to help and encourage me and to my Savior Jesus Christ who guided me through the tough times.

2 Who was your biggest influence on your studies?
My mother taught me the importance of school and how it could prepare me for the future – if I would seize the opportunity to learn.

3 What was your favorite activity in high school? Why?
The fall musical was my favorite activity. I enjoy being on the stage and showing people my hidden talent, acting.

4 What college do you plan to attend and why?
I will be attending Park University in Parkville, Mo. this fall. It has a good feel for me. It is small, homey, great campus, affordable and a good school.

5 What do you see yourself doing 10 years from now?
I see myself being active in service in my church, owning my own small business and possibly working out of my home.
