Luck
Joyce Dutcher

You are lucky!
Your juju, mojo, suerte, yun chi
Are all good. Why?
Because you are special
I am lucky! Why
Because I share your juju mojo, suerte, yun chi
From the day I met you
You made me happy
And that’s my good luck
You are lucky to have creative juju
I am lucky to be party of the color and aura
That surrounds you
You are lucky to have music mojo
I am lucky to share your beat and rhythm
You are lucky to have the suerte of language
I am lucky to hear your thoughts and secrets
You are lucky to have yun chi
That spirit inside you
That makes you feel good about yourself
I am lucky to share your beautiful spirit
Where ever life leads you
You will be lucky.

Goddess Spring
Joyce Dutcher

Goddess SPrings arrives in lavish splendor
Her greening, ivied hair
Gilded with dandelions and daffodils
Trailing her rain showered robe
Bordered with pansy and pussywillow
She glides with fecund feet
Printing profuse flowerings and buddings
Waving elegant fingers
She conjures bird song and nesting
Spring’s violet eyes
Safeguard plentiful birthing
Goddess Spring’s romantic whimsy
Conceals her transcendent nature
Despite wind, hail, flood, fire
Spring emerges triumphant

Mist filling every hollow

Dark clouds mass higher
Swirling Thunder beings crash
Raindrops fall–leaves dance
