Dear everyone,
Thank you for your generous donations to my Eagle Scout project. Your donations helped me to put together all 50 of the supply bags I needed to give to the teachers at Van Horn High School. At first it seemed impossible, but it all came together. The teachers greatly appreciate the supply bags, which will save them money.
Six Scouts from my troop, Troop 161 at East Alton Community of Christ, and some of the adults in the troop helped me assemble the bags on Aug. 6, and I and two other Scouts delivered the bags to Van Horn Aug. 7. Vice Principal Brennan accepted them for the teachers. I also received a generous donation of supplies from the Rotary Club of Eastern Independence, which will be added to the bags. Thank you again. Here are those who donated: Wal-Mart (and Sheryal at the Bolger location), Mark Kliethermes and Edward Jones, Sam’s Club, Office Depot, the Vota Vita Class at First Baptist Church of Independence, Shirley Johnson, the Laurel Club volunteers of the Community of Christ Auditorium, Barbara Langley and the Independence Kiwanis Club, The Examiner, Mary Stoner, Jeff Fox, Dorothy Shor, Elaine Mallory, Joe and Stephanie Boothe, Lindsay Lamken, Adell Jansen, Keith and Barbara Wood, Evelyn Van Velzen adn Ferne Albert. Together you gave about $2,000 in supplies to the teachers.
Thanks again,
Conor Davis
