A happy, long-awaited reunion.

We wanted to thank each and everyone of you for all of your help finding our little dog Bailey, but especially to the family who found her and took such good care of her.

All of you are angels in our eyes with all that you did to help bring Bailey back home to us.

My fiance was killed in 2001 just six weeks before our wedding, and Bailey was my last birthday present from him, so as you can imagine I was grieving for Bailey and him all over again.

I thought I had lost her forever. My son and husband stuck by me and were my rocks through all of this! 

I will have to share something that just touched my heart that my son said to me. I was crying and he came up to me and got in my lap and said “Mommy stop crying we are going to find Bailey in two days,” and sure enough he was right.

I guess some angels and God let him in on a little secret that everything was going to be all right. We got a phone call that someone had seen our sign that my husband had put up and then they told us that their daughter had found Bailey at Sonic.

I guess she was hungry for a cheeseburger! Anyway she didn’t want her to get hit by a car since she already crossed a busy highway on a Friday night so she took her home with her.

They put signs out too, but we never thought to look for a found dog sign!

They were very nice people, and we are eternally grateful to them for bringing my shadow back home! Thanks so much to all of you again. It amazes me so much how many kind people there are out there.

I want to pay this back and want to help in any way I can bring someone else back their lost animal. It is a horrible thing to go through, and I don’t want someone else to have to go through that. Please to the family that found Bailey, know how much we appreciate you.

  I guess this has taught me once again when you believe in miracles they really do happen!
