WEEK IN RELIGIONThe Vatican’s official newspaper denounced Muhammad cartoons earlier this month, calling depictions of Islam’s prophet “blasphemy.” The Vatican’s remarks came just days after a policeman in Garland, Texas, shot and killed two would-be attackers at an exhibit depicting cartoonish depictions of Muhammad.
