The William Chrisman girls basketball team was ready from the outset Monday night.

The Bears jumped to a 25-10 lead after one quarter and extended it to 48-15 by halftime on the way to a Suburban Middle Six rout over host Oak Park.

Bri Burns fired in 19 points to lead a balanced attack for the Bears, who improved to 13-7 overall and 4-2 in the conference.

Adreon Bell added 14 points, Malia Atagi contributed 13 and Janelle Acevedo and Jennifer David each had 10 to help spark the Bears.

OAK GROVE 61, EXCELSIOR SPRINGS 36: Oak Grove had three players in double figures as they easily cruised past host Excelsior Springs in a Missouri River Valley Conference West showdown Monday.

Lilli Weir led Oak Grove (7-11, 1-3) with 19 points, Kaitlyn Marsh had 18 and Sophie Heldenbrand added 13.

“I thought after the first quarter we picked up our play,” Oak Grove coach Jared Broughton said. “We attacked the rim and got them into foul trouble. We put the game out of reach in the third quarter, and ee did a great job on the glass.”

LEE’S SUMMIT NORTH 57, PARK HILL 47: Aiyana Johnson had a monster game, tallying a double-double with 21 points and 15 rebounds to help Lee's Summit North stay undefeated in a win over the host Trojans in a Suburban Big Seven contest Monday.

Aaliyah Johsnon added 12 points and Alexis Griffin and Anija Frazier chipped in with nine each for the Broncos (19-0, 8-0), who went 8 of 10 from the free-throw line.
