The University of Missouri System Board of Curators will vote Thursday on whether to approve the architect for the Memorial Stadium south end zone project.

Populous, Inc., of Kansas City is listed as the recommended architectural consultant in the agenda for the board meeting.

The total project budget is $96.7 million, with $4.31 million committed through private gifts to cover design costs, according to the agenda.

Populous also has worked on football stadium projects at Baylor, Colorado, Kansas State, Oklahoma and Texas A&M, among other venues.

The selection committee also interviewed AECOM, Inc., of Kansas City; HNTB Corporation of Kansas City; and DLR Group, Inc., of Overland Park, Kan., for the architect job, according to the agenda.

The stadium project is slated to be completed by the summer of 2019.

The south end zone facility will include a football operations center, coaches’ offices, an equipment room, locker room, team lounge, team meeting rooms and a training room with hydrotherapy. For fans, there will be a private club area, general seating area and 20-24 luxury suites.
