Sierra Heuston captured a medal as the Blue Springs girls golf team claimed fifth place in the Mo-Kan Invitational Monday.
Heuston fired an 85 to finish 11th individually as the Wildcats totaled 368 to finish behind St. Joseph’s Academy (319), host Notre Dame de Sion (338), Olathe (Kan.) Northwest (343) and Lee’s Summit (367) on the par-72 Blue Hills Country Club course. Lee’s Summit North (460) was 12th and Blue Springs South (497) was 14th.
Jordan Marshall shot 89 to finish just two strokes away from a medal, while Lauren Muller (95), Alyna Thibault (99) and Caroline Duvall (121) completed the Wildcats’ card.
Ayden Sackewitz shot 100 and Sophia Nagel posted a 111 to Blue Springs South.
Amanda Binger shot 112 and Micaela Dickerson and Ashlee Collins each had a 113 to lead Lee’s Summit North.
RAYTOWN 158, WILLIAM CHRISMAN 159: Jessica Long, Aerianna Pazienza and Zoe McConnell each shot 53 but Chrisman fell by one shot to Raytown South Monday at the par-30 Drumm Farm Golf Club Executive Course.
Each team fielded just three golfers, with Raytown South’s Megan Kemery earning medalist honors with a 51.
Long and Pazienza each recorded their first par in competition on the par-3 eighth hole.
