Four Blue Springs players posted shutout wins in singles play Monday, as the Wildcats downed host Fort Osage 8-1 in girls tennis action.

Caitlyn Sporing, Bentley Walters, Allie Brown and Jenna Pope each won 8-0 for the Wildcats, who improved to 5-2 in dual matches. Dani Madison won 8-3 at No. 5 singles.

Fort Osage's lone victory came at No. 4 singles, as Mariah Griffey posted an 8-5 win.

All of three of the Blue Springs doubles teams won 8-2. Sporing and Walters won at first doubles, Pope and Mary Martell teamed at No. 2 and Brown and Danielle Bond teamed at No. 3.

“I saw some really good play when I brought Danielle Bond up from JV for doubles,” Blue Springs coach Jody McClain said.
