The Blue Springs South softball team outhit Lee’s Summit West 9-7, but that wasn’t enough in a 5-3 Suburban Big Seven loss in the regular-season finale Monday.

Easton Seib took the loss as the had three strikeouts, stranded 11 West runners and gave up four earned runs.

An RBI single from Haley Woolf gave the Jaguars (19-9, 6-6) a 1-0 lead but West scored five unanswered runs to pull away, with the last three coming in the fifth and sixth. Aubrie Munoz scored on a passed ball and Addie Lightner had an RBI single to account for South’s other two runs in the sixth inning.
