Blue Springs volleyball coach Katie Grusing said she felt like her team made some improvements, but it wasn’t enough in a 25-17, 25-21 Suburban Big Seven loss to the Lee’s Summit West Titans Tuesday.

“We started slow and had to gain some momentum late in set one and felt we played pretty strongly in set two,” Grusing said. “We ran into some sideout issues at 19-19 and couldn't recover.”

Hannah Vanriette and Haley Rothove led the Wildcats (6-13-1, 2-6) with eight kills each.

Caroline Foster led Blue Springs in digs and assists, with nine and 20, respectively.
