Fort Osage’s Hailey Alvis continued her strong senior season with a runner-up finish in the Suburban Middle Six Championships Thursday.

Her team had the same second-place finish.

Alvis completed the 5-kilometer course in 20 minutes, 50.9 seconds to finish behind only Staley’s Alex Hamre (19:19.9).

The Indians totaled 63 points to also finish behind Staley (19). William Chrisman (82) finished fourth.

“Another great race from senior Hailey Alvis,” Fort Osage coach Chris Earley said. “Staley is always a force to reckon with.”

Angelina Lyons finished 14th (23:32.9), followed by Brailynn Harlan (15th, 23:51.3), Addisyn Sims (17th, 24:38.9), Amanda Daniel (19th, 25:23.1) and Asia Margo (21st, 25:58.5).

Kayli Perez took 10th place (22:18.5), Lilly Conner-Urnise finished 11th (22:44.7) and Gabi Chavez was 16th (23:58.7) to lead the Chrisman girls.

In the boys race, Fort Osage sophomore Michael Reddick registered a top-10 finish as the Indians finished third.

Fort Osage totaled 88 points to finish behind Staley (25) and Oak Park (71) and ahead of fourth-place Chrisman (95).

Reddick took ninth in 18:11.8, while William Chrisman’s Aaron Nyaway finished sixth in 17:59.2.

“The boys team continues to improve week to week. Michael Reddick has quietly led our boys team,” Earley said.

Hayden Astry was 16th (19:08.0), Micah Copeland took 17th (19:20.8) and Jake Merithew was 22nd (19:39.6) for the Indians.

Trey Dumas finished 12th (18:46.6) and Braxton Ward was 18th (19:31.3) for Chrisman.
