The Blue Springs volleyball team started out fast, but was unable to muster a win against Suburban Big Seven foe Park Hill Tuesday.

The Wildcats won the first set 25-14, but Park Hill won the next two 25-16, 25-17 for the 2-1 win.

“We had another night where we got a few things going offensively, but still could not put a complete game together,” Blue Springs coach Katie Grusing said. “We really struggled defensively to put a stop to a balanced Park Hill offense.”

Hannah Vanriette and Niya Harris both led Blue Springs (11-16-2, 5-8) with 13 kills each. Caroline Foster added 35 assists.

WARRENSBURG 25-25, OAK GROVE 14-14: Oak Grove wasn’t able to must much offense in a non-conference loss to host Warrensburg Monday.

Emily Heldenbrand led the Panthers with four kills, 23 assists and 13 digs, and Chloee Tripp had three kills and nine digs.
