Senior exchange student Daniel Kuropka now owns every William Chrisman swimming record but one.
Kuropka, from Slovakia, broke the school mark for the 50-yard freestyle in Wednesday’s meet against Liberty North and Truman, leaving the 100 freestyle the only record he doesn’t hold of the eight individual events.
Kuropka took second in the 50 to Liberty North’s Thomas Philpot with a time of 23.27 seconds.
Adam Vader's 100 freestyle record is the only individual record at Chrisman left standing.
Liberty North claimed the win with 712 points, while Truman (332) was second and Chrisman (53) took third at the Henley Aquatic Center.
Kuropka won the 100 freestyle in 50.84 seconds but it wasn’t fast enough to get the eighth record.
Truman had four second-place finishes, including Shuri Holland in the 100 backstroke (1:11.91), Joe Linhardt in the 100 breaststroke (1:32.99), Dayne Rowlette in diving (96.10) and the 200 freestyle relay team of Aaron Holloway, Woody Bradshaw, Holland and Carson Moon (1:53.06).
