The Kansas City Mavericks extended their winning streak to three games after yet another win against Tulsa Friday at the B.O.K. Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

It was Kansas City’s ninth consecutive victory against Tulsa.

After two scoreless periods, Mavericks forward Jared VanWormer opened the scoring with his sixth goal of the season at the 5:58 mark. The goal was assisted by Shawn Pauly and Troy Donnay.

Tulsa’s Ryan Tesink tied it up at the 10:38 mark with a goal of his own, but Kansas City forward Matt Robertson gave his team the lead back less than a minute later. He scored his 12th goal of the season and his sixth in his last three games to put Kansas City up for good.

Kansas City defenceman Bryce Aneloski added an insurance goal with 52 seconds left to put it away. Mavericks goaltender Mason McDonald had another great game, stopping 30 of 31 shots. He has stopped 98 of 106 shots during the three-game winning streak.

The Mavericks (17-15-0-1) will host the oilers for a 7:05 p.m. game Saturday night.
