After an opening-round loss in the Pleasant Hill Tournament, the Grain Valley girls basketball team bounced back with a 55-38 rout of Pembroke Hill in the consolation bracket.
Kendra Sibert scored a team-best 17 points and Sydney Williams and Kylie Boehmer added eight points apiece.
“I think we’re continuing to get better,” said Grain Valley coach Randy Draper, whose team improved to 5-6 overall. “We still have a pretty open window to improve in. We’re starting to get it. That’s what you want.”
