The Blue Springs South girls basketball team struggled from the start against Suburban Big Seven leader Lee’s Summit West Wednesday night.
The visiting Titans jumped to a 15-2 lead after one quarter and didn’t look back in a 49-26 conference victory at Blue Springs South.
“We struggled to get the ball to go through the net in the first half,” Blue Springs South coach Kory Lower said after his team fell to 8-12 overall and 3-4 in the Suburban Big Seven. “I don’t think we had a 2-point basket in the first half. And Lee’s Summit West is so good that when you get down to them like that, it makes it really hard to come back.”
West led 28-14 at halftime on the way to improving to 16-4 overall and 8-0 in the conference.
