Rylan Childers had a monster game for the Grain Valley girls soccer team as she notched four goals and two assists in her team’s 9-0 win over Missouri River Valley Conference West rival Harrisonville Tuesday.
Danni Timmons, Kailey Larson, Sophie Broockerd, Raena Childers and Nicole Herde each scored one goal for the Eagles (5-0-1, 1-0). Marissa Schmitt, Reana Childers, Larson, Broockerd, Abby Berg and Haley Hunter each had an assist.
Raegan Beeding earned the shutout in goal.
“It was good game on another chilly night to start conference play,” Grain Valley coach Tyler Nichol said. “Regardless of the score, we just wanted to focus on connecting a lot of quick, one- and two-touch passes. The defense and Raegan played great again tonight not giving Harrisonville many opportunities.”
FORT OSAGE 10, WINNETONKA 0: The Indians improved to 2-0 thanks to a dominant effort from Aliyah Ayala in a win over the Griffins.
Ayala paced the Fort Osage offense with four goals, Megan Lyon and Emma Hogland added two each and Bailee Summer and Sophia Calderon each had one goal.
STALEY 6, WILLIAM CHRISMAN 0: The Bears suffered their first loss of the season after a hot start in a 6-0 loss to the Falcons Tuesday in a Suburban Middle Six match.
Chrisman fell to 3-1 overall and 1-1 in the conference.
