LIBERTY 11, TRUMAN 1: Truman was unable to overcome Liberty’s early 6-0 lead in a Suburban Big Six home loss Tuesday.
Braxton Bragg allowed six hits and one run and struck out 10 to get the win for Liberty. Kyler Barnett went 2-for-3 and Jordan McKinney drove in the Patriots’ lone run on a sacrifice fly in the third inning.
“We faced an extremely tough pitcher today and were not able to put much together,” Truman coach Corey Lathrom said. “We had two opportunities for a big inning, but we could only manufacture one run. Brett Lundquist threw well in relief. We were hoping for a better result on our seniors’ last home game, but we are still pleased with our improved play, even if the score didn't show it.”
