The Grain Valley girls soccer team is just one win away from sweeping the Missouri River Valley Conference West.

The Childers sisters combined for six goals Wednesday to help power the Eagles to a 10-0 rout of host Odessa.

The Eagles, 19-3-1 and ranked sixth in the state in Class 3, improved to 9-0 in the MRVC West entering today’s 6:30 p.m. home match against Harrisonville.

Senior Rylan Childers scored four goals and freshman sister Raena added two goals and two assists to lead the Eagles. Nicole Herder had a goal and two assists and Kailey Boyer, Kailyn Duett and Cortnee Barnett each scored a goal.

Marissa Schmitt, Haley Hunter, Sophie Broockerd and Ashlyn Welch each had an assist, and Raegan Beeding recorded the shutout in goal.

OAK GROVE 4, KNOB NOSTER 0: Oak Grove honored seniors Chloee Tripp and Abby Neuweg with a Senior Night shutout of Knob Noster Wednesday.

Junior Megan Borland scored a hat trick and sophomore Emily Hughes added a goal to lead the Panthers, who finished the regular season at 12-10 overall.

Neuweg recorded the shutout in goal.
