The Blue Springs South baseball team ended the season on a good note as it rolled to an 8-1 win against Suburban Big Seven Conference foe Park Hill Wednesday.
The visiting Jaguars scored two runs in the first inning, two in the second, three in the fourth and one in the fifth to down the Trojans.
“It was a good win on the road tonight to finish the regular season,” South coach Ben Baier said after his team finished the regular season at 17-8 overall and 9-3 in the conference. “We did a good job on the mound and had some solid at-bats, which led to some big runs for us tonight.”
Will Heller was the winning pitcher as he allowed just four hits and struck out two in four innings.
Jared Ravencamp had two hits, including an RBI triple and Allante Hall stroked an RBI double to lead the offense. Dustin Brewer, Brady Strickert and Heller each scored two runs for South.
