The Lee’s Summit Outlaws got the bats going to claim a American Legion Zone 2 doubleheader sweep of host Odessa Post 86 Tuesday night.

The Outlaws combined for 30 hits in 9-5 and 12-3 wins.

In the first game, the Outlaws extended a 4-1 lead to 9-1 with five runs in the fifth inning and held on for the win.

Zane Ragland had three hits and two RBIs and Blake Marnholtz collected two hits and three RBIs to lead the offense, which produced 13 hits.

Jarrett O’Shaughnessy struck out four in four innings to earn the win. Ethan Lewis pitched the final three innings.

Lee’s Summit totaled 17 hits in the second game 12-3 victory. The Outlaws jumped to a 5-2 lead after three innings and scored four in the fourth and two in the fifth to pull away.

Marnholtz had three hits and three RBIs to lead the way. Wyatt Urzendowski had five hits, Jeremy Root posted four hits and Justin Hopson and Logan Adams each had three RBIs.
