Former Blue Springs High School star Nick Tepesch has a new home.

The Toronto Blue Jays traded the minor league right-handed pitcher to the Detroit Tigers for cash Wednesday.

The former Missouri and Blue Springs ace went 1-6 with a 7.90 ERA in 10 games at Triple-A Buffalo.

Tepesch has a 10-20 record and a 4.71 ERA in the majors with Texas, Los Angeles, Minnesota and Toronto. He was 1-1 with a 5.14 ERA while starting three games for the Blue Jays last season.

Tepesch, 29, will be assigned to Double-A Erie. He is on the seven-day disabled list, retroactive to Aug. 3.
